Hi guys,
i'm living here in NY and thinking about moving to NC. I thought about suburbs of Charlotte. What's a good place to live in there? wherein there's a good school district? because i have 2 kids.

Also do you have a lot of meet in charlotte area?

how much is an average price of a house 5 bedrooms?

is there a market of physical therapist in NC?

pleeeease help me, we would need to move soon this year maybe by summer.
so i hope to see all the mazda peeps there

check the cme section for meets/events.

I dont know about the rest of that. My sister lives in Wilmington which I like alot, lots to do there. I dont know about their education system though.

thanks for the input, keep it coming

I would suggest the Ballantyne area, great schools in the area (Private as well as Public), great housing communities also. As far as a 5 bedroom house...hmm yea, its gonna run a little bit, rougly...$300,000/$400,000 about, im not sure. Job wise, im sure there are plenty of jobs in the Charlotte region.

We live in Waxhaw (Union County), about 10 miles south of Charlotte. Houses are about $100,00 LESS than if you're in Charlotte (Mecklenburg County). Our house, 2300 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, 2 car garage, .25 acre was listed at $210,000. Pic of the house here

I've heard that the school that serve Waxhaw are good, but we don't have kids.

You may also want to look at the Weddington area. A little closer to Charlotte, but still in Union County so no offensive Meck Co taxes!

For physical therapists, sure. I screwed up my neck / shoulder and went to http://www.orthocarolina.com/ for therapy. They have an office in Ballantyne, about a 15 minute drive.

Check out Ryland Homes at Providence Grove. Nice places, 5br, about $315 - 320.
There's another development across from them, but I don't remember the name. The houses are smaller though.

Hit me up if I can help...

A very close friend and former co-worker just moved to Charlotte last fall from Pittsburgh.
She and her husband love it.
Cost of living in the subs is even cheaper than Pittsburgh and Yankees are a welcome addition to ANY workforce down there.

Charlotte area has grown a lot in the past 10 years. I live in Fort Mill, SC. Which is about 15 min from charlotte. Ballantyne is one of the newest and most expensive areas of charlotte to live. I would suggest the Fort Mill, Weddington, Waxhaw area. You are probably going to pay close to 250-300k for a five bedroom house anywhere in the charlotte suburbs. Schools in Fort Mill, Weddington, and Waxhaw are all good.

i was looking at the waxhaw area, and it looks good, we will be driving there on april 13-15 to check it out and hopefully be able to decide which town we're gonna live. thanks again for the support

I'd say to give me a yell, but I'll be in Wilmington for an autocross...
Feel free to ask any questions about the area. I can probably point you toward some developments to look at... Shoot me an e-mail.
