Think I'm having a problem with wideband A/F gauge.

When ever I shift from a gear into neutral it will shoot up 20 then make the warning sound then die back down. If I stay in gear and get off the gas it will stay on 20 and keep beeping till I shift into neutral or give it some gas.

Anybody know whats wrong? Its a prosport gauge by the way.

It shoots over 20 becuase fuel is cut on deccel and only spark remains. If your gauge would go high enough, it would hit 29 on deccel. At idle, you have fuel again and you get normal AFR's. all normal.

yep mr mazda hit on on the nail...less fuel...like when im doing data log runs in my car and im wot and in high 11's low 12's..and then I push in clutch and shift it into neutral..wham..the afr's go through the roof..my foot is off the gas. So completly normal :)

Well I'm glad that's normal. The beeping is driving me nuts though. I'll just unhook it until I need it.

Thanks for speedy replies and the help.
