the summer heat wave...

.. I'm on the New Jersey coastline (Long Beach Island), and even at the shore, it's been brutal lately. The heat combined with the humidity -- it literally feels like you can't breathe sometimes. And the worst is that I have no air conditioning in my house .. just a few fans. I haven't been able to sleep well for the last week or so, because I'm just too overheated. And I got a migraine for the first time in a year two days ago, from being too hot for too long.
It's supposed to hit 95 here on Tuesday .. People are gonna start droppin' dead, I swear. Ugh.

MSP #735, I grew up in Hickory and was just there a few weeks ago. It was hot then, so I can only imagine how hot it is there now. The problem is you generally don't have any air flow. At least here we normally have some type of sea breeze that helps. You guys in the Piedmont are just sweltering with no relief. Stay cool, drink lots of water.

Out here in Cali it has just been freakin Humid! I live by the beach so the ocean breeze helps out. But yeah, it sucks.
I live in Ramseur, just SE of Greensboro and it's hot as a mofo out. I'm an Electrician so I have to crawl around in attics and such. On days like these I'd hate to see what the temp inside an attic would be. The worst part is my sorry boss wont get my A/C fixed in the ol' work truck so I'm just SOL! Oh well enough venting. Have a cool one guys.

its been hot here. if i was still in football id be sweating my ass off now. but instead i just sit at home at a nice 78 degrees with the central air. i feel so lazy now.

yea, your right but when you come from a place where the average temps this time of year are only 85 ish 100 is damn hot!!! not to mention the humiditiy is a beooch.

Aww, it was nice out Sunday. My boy had his last baseball tourny and everyone was crowded into any possible shady spot. Wimps! Everyone up here lives in the mall or has the A/C set at 70. I have to wear a sweater indoors half the time at the office. But then I've spent half my life in Austin and Phoenix.

well I live in vegas and we have been breakin our records for weeks now 116 or more lately
Just to let anyone know that heat on the west coast isnt like the heat on the east coast. We have heat and humidity. 110 in the west coast, is like 95 on the east coast. When I was in Vegas, i walked the entire strip when it was 99-102 in may. It was nowhere near as bad as the east coast, because theres no humidity and its a dry heat. On the east coast, when you sweat, it sticks to you and doesnt dry. On the west coast, you sweat but it dries faster because there is less moisture in the air.
However, on the east coast, since there is more moisture it brings more late afternoon thunderstorms which are nice because it cools things down for about an hour. Yes!

I want to DIE, my AC still isn't fixed on my car so by the time I got to work today, I was soaking wet. I hate this, I'm moving to Alaska.

weather was great today though, high of 76 and it'll be the same all week (alright)
P.S. sorry about everyone's bad weather. I was inland a couple days ago and it was over 100!
