The passenger rear doors will not open from inside

Hi all, I drove a few friends around a couple days ago, and the persons sitting at the back of the car, could not open the doors from the inside. I have to press the unlock button on driver's side every time to let them out, is there a way to set up to open the rear doors, thx.

The child-proof locks are enabled. Inside the rear doors is a white switch/lever. Flip it to the "off" position.

The doors auto-lock after a certain speed is surpassed. You can set it somewhere I think but all they have to do is unlock the door before they try to open it.

Yeah only the front doors unlock on its own when you open the door. I guess it's for child safety that the rear doors that back passengers have to unlock it themselves to open the door. Seems to be the case for my previous cars too.

Thanks for the replies, so for safety feature

Try settings -> vehicle settings -> doors
There are several ways you can set the locking/unlocking behavior you prefer.
I set mine to be gear-triggering. i.e. lock when shift out of P, unlock when shift into P.
You can go by speed (~5mph) to lock, but you have to unlock yourself.
There is a walk-away lock if you have the smartKey access.

Thx, this is what I want,
... went to the dealer before this post, and figured this out.
