The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

You should paint them gunmetal or something. Then wash/wax the 626. It would look amazing. For a week... :(

Thinking about painting the Kosei's Yellow for 2012, in keeping with the overall theme of the car. Black, Yellow and Spicy of course.

I told him I only had $8000 to spend, which is a lot off his asking price, so we'll see what he says...
What is he asking?

DO IT. I love the subject of painting.

So I decided that I'm going to take last years burnt out track tires off the rimsand weigh them before I do anything. The only downfall is they are 16x7 and I believe have a 35-38 offset. It probably would be pushing it to put anything bigger than a 225 series tire on those. If I went 17x7.5 it probably wouldn't be a problem going 235 or even 245 with a 45 offset. Any thought about size? What setup do you have for dd and track Marlon?

I have a set of Motegi's that I have Parada Spec II's 215/40/17, for daily driving in the summer. My track set up for this year is as follows : Black RPF-1s, 17 x 8 42 offset w/ B.F. Goodrich R-1's 235/40/17 or my Kosei's w/ Kumho V710 225/45/17.

So I should probably stay with a 225 when on a 17x7 and maybe go with 235-245 on a 17x7.5?

Spill the beans Adam. Tell us what you did.

****** got lots of snow and me and my friend were driving around and i hit a small concrete barrier at about 10 mph or just a bit less. broke pass fog, bent frame, broke headlight, small tear and lots of missing paint in bumper. got most of it fixed though the fram is still bent in the very front. doesnt screw with my alignment. had to fix the way the hood fight, ordered new lights, and a voltage clamp. the car is still drivable and i bent back the frame enough to avoid hitting the belt for ps and the sc. i am spraying the bumper right now. honestly, whatever. im still trying to find a beater so i can keep this to the track, and for summer driving.

Sound kinda serious as far as damage in concerned. Hood fitment off, frame hitting belts, I hope I am wrong.

I seen a lot of car in the MSP section that have been in fender benders and it trns out their frame is bent. THe front impact bar only protects the front and not really the corner.
