The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Going to attend my first NORA event on April 3rd before the NWOR SCCA starts. Can't wait to try some actual good tires out rather than rockin out crappy dd tires like last year.

That's not too bad of a price. I remember when my step-dad put in a new lift it cost him somewhere around 3k used for a similar one.

This was years ago though..

We may go out to scrub tires for the NASA Mid-Ohio event

yeah mileage money reimbursement is cool until you remember that your racking up alot of miles on your personal car for the "benefit" of your company....
in my case id be mid 80k right now but thanks to work travel im only a couple hundred miles away from the century mark :(

so while the money is nice per mile, it has to be cause your killing the value of your car etc for your employers benefit....
So Levi what did you think of your trip to Bristol?
I'm totally buying a machine so I can mount my own tires.

Does this look good?

While I'm at it, here goes a lift:

Noice! Not a bad way to spend ~4k. When I win the Mega Millions and get to buld mt garage-mahal it will most def have a lift.So don't bother buying a ticket I will already have the winner. Don't worry guys I will share my vast wealth with the Team Ohio membership.

Well, I wish I could afford that stuff! But honestly, just think of the money saved by DIYing your tires and the time saved using the lift for everything. My garage is definitely having a lift. And I still think a tire mounting machine and balance would be nifty as well!

You would have to do a s*** ton of tires to justify the cost. The lift too, but I think that a lift would be far more benificial.

^^^^I hate when I can't post things the way my brain wanted it posted. Sarcasm font fail!^^^^

just another perk of working at a dealership. 40 lifts, 2 alignment racks and 3 tire machines. sometimes it's worth working there...ha ha ha

oh and whitney's revamping (lip, grill and new wheel color) has been finished.... heres 2 shots from my driveway, what do you guys think??

Point taken on the mileage Levi....I was thinking of the deal a buddy of mine had a few years ago. He was getting a check for mileage that included his trip to/from work as well as other stores. One month he told me his check for mileage alone was +$700.

New mods look good, I've always liked that style of grill on any Mazda and was *this close* to having a Mint Blue grill in my possession...I just couldn't justify the cost for it (helluva deal) + paint. :( Wheels turned out good as well!

Levi, it looks incredible. The first pic is my favorite, as the wheels look more vibrant. My only nit pick is that the back wheel is a bit out of focus. I'd use a higher F stop and put it on a tripod to get more of it in focus. Otherwise it looks just great.

thanks alot guys, glad its liked (even though i was keeping it even if i got bashed lol)

the wheel slightly out of focus was intentional for that shot.... i was actually trying to get a little more dramatic and out of focus than it turned out haha, oh and i did use a tripod haha

and as far as the wheels looking more or less vibrant, the paint has ALOT of depth to them and every pic ive seen of them, they look different haha the vibrant look is just a difference in lighting as i rushed this little shoot in my driveway as the sun had set and it was getting dark
