edit: cool helmut bruh

I've always had the tq vs hp explained this way. Torque gets you off the line while horsepower is top end.

Pablo, you are a dork. Yoda tells you when you get a text message. Come on. haha. I wear my helmet when I watch TopGear.

Frenchy, yeah, it's flat black. G-Force Eliminator at Summit for $250. Too bad it's only a Snell 2005 though.

Wes, what's a VR helmet?

Chipmunk, I meant "girlfriend" singular, not plural. My bad. heh-heh

that sucks it's snell 2005...i don't have a helmet, yet, but i want to get one....we actually both need one...sean's expired this year....we were looking at getting the 2010 ones just because they will last longer

i need to go somewhere to try some on because i have no idea what i want...i won't be doing tons of driving/riding yet....but i still want one just in case so i'm not borrowing other's

Yeah, I know. That's why I was holding out for a Snell2010 this year but my mother was just dying to buy me a Christmas present. It was either a helmet, that I need and want. Or a printer, which I don't need or want. haha. My mom loves to shop with my younger sister but I'm the complete opposite. I don't like shopping and do all my shopping online but according to her, "that's no fun". :)

i think jegs will let you try them on, iron pony has a ton of helmets for motorcycle helmets sitting out to try on

Well I used Lauri's helmet at the track for a Hyperdrive this year and it was the same brand/model so I knew it fit but was a little tough to get my glasses to sit on the bridge of my nose. I measured my noggin and was right on the border of either a medium or a large. So I first bought the large and my glasses fit well but the helmet just didn't feel very snug, so I returned it to Summit for a Medium and tried it on at the counter before I left. The medium fits much better but it's trickier to get my glasses to sit on my nose. It just takes a little wiggling and they fit. So I'm a happy camper.

I just need a Mazdaspeed decal on the visor like hers so I can feel like a bad-ass. ;)

It sucks all the time. heh-heh. But I hate contacts and my glasses misleadingly make me look smart(er).

I picked up my wheels from Leipold Tires today and mounted them. Just in time for the snow :) I went on a test drive and found a snow covered parking lot. Wow...I can already tell these tires are going to be amazing! Also, my driveway is a steep incline. With my Mazda6 (all season tires), I used to have a hard time making it up the driveway when it was snowy. I came to a dead stop in the speed3 and effortlessly made it up the snowy driveway haha!!

Also, these tires are 225. The OEM Potenzas were 215. The Blizzaks aren't stretched as much so there is a lot more rubber overhanging the lip for protection :)

I got my TWM Big Type-R shift knob too! (Yes I know my car is dirty lol) All I have to say is WOW!! Comparing it to the oem knob, the TWM is heavy! Now, shifting is amazing! It goes into gear without much effort. Also, I have A LOT more confidence with my shifts. 2-3 used to be very difficult, but it's no longer an issue.

SU Rear Motor Mount + JBarone SSP (with Bushings) + MT90 + TWM Shift Knob = SEX

HAHA!! At this point, I am very content with how it shifts. I'm going to try adjusting it again to see if I can make it better. The only other thing I could do now to make shifting better, is to buy the TWM Shifter Replacement. I'm going to wait till next year before pulling the trigger on it. I want to see on the track how the shifter is now, then make the decision whether or not I need the TWM Replacement or not.

Last but not least....

I'm going to have to put the Corksport Race Pipe on hold for now. When I put the snow wheels on, I checked my brake pads. The rears should last at least 15k more miles. The fronts on the other hand...they need to be replaced ASAP. I've been hearing the fronts squeal occasionally, but lately they've been getting louder. So I finally had a chance to inspect them.

So now I'm going to be getting EBC Yellow stuff for the front. They are $105 shipped for just the fronts. I'm surprised the price is so low considering the OEM MS3 brake pads are at least $100, if not more.

I have one question about rotors. Will I need to get the rotors machined before putting new pads on? I did it when I replaced the Mazda6's front pads for $20 total so it's not that big of a deal price-wise. It's just a hassle removing the rotors, finding a way to get them to the shop to be machined, then waiting for them to finish so I can go back home and finish the job. lol

Thanks!!

I think you should have gotten the large. You need to leave room for growth. Once you finish that KL swap, you are going to have a big head!!! HAHAHA J/K!!!

I've had glasses since I was 3...never done contacts...never could stand doing stuff to my eyes (contacts, etc)

ill play too.

my winter wheels and tires came yesterday from tire rack. they are for my 5.

Some pictures from today. I love pictures.

Project at LMS today was installing Pablo's new header and 3 gauges. These pictures are starting to look very similar...

HOLEEEEEEE s***, I'm going bald.... LOL

LMS is very professional, we have uniforms. The header install was easier than I was lead to believe, mostly because I didn't want to keep the stock unit so we just cut the flex pipe off, header came right out. The worst part was putting the new flex pipe in, and wrapping the vibrant, I'm still blowing fiber glass out of my nose. I also changed my rear motor mount (TRZ w/race bushing), man I can feel the vibes. Too bad it was snowing, haven't been able to feel the power change but the sound is awesome ROTFL.

I can totally seeing you doing that too. Sitting right up to the TV, helmet on, jumping up and down every time Jeremy does a powerslide.

Damn, wish I could see the pics.

Hopefully Evan will post up a pic of my snow tires when they arrive.

Can someone find me some decent-looking 16" hubcaps, preferably Mazda-badged, I would appreciate it. Nothing looks good and they're all like $45+ on eBay. Who pays that much for plastic covers??
