The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Called down to IPS and setting up a day to drop off the car for FMIC install followed by tuning.

install the fmic yourself, can't be that hard

On an MSP, I'd agree with you. MS3's have s*** laid out in the weirdest damn way sometimes.

Here's the catch, FMIC from just about anywhere you're talking close to 1000 just for the parts. The shop will build and install for roughly 700 give or take. I am going with them doing it to save money and have it done professionally at the same time.

I'd do the same thing man. Definitely. If you come back up to Akron, I can point to your car and ask Kris where his is. Hahaha.

Actually seeing his and that other guys 3 made me want to get the halos for the lights. Had originally planned to buy them and head up that way to install with Kris. Thinking more about it I want to complete everything I want performance wise before spending 100's here and there for visual upgrades. I enjoy the visual but most of that is stuff I can do at anytime really. While I'm living here and near a trustworthy shop I'm gonna focus on getting her running the way I want. So once I can smoke all of you then I'll worry about how it looks sitting still. (sssh)

Hahaha. Good call sir. That's pretty much how my MSM is. Outside, nothing done to make it look any different. Under the hood...that's where it counts.

Then it will be even more ridiculous when I pull out of the lot, rev up, and hit a nice 5 mph roll.

I wish they made halo lights for the MSP. :( That would look sweet with some eyelids. How often to you guys go to Akron? It's about a 2 and a half hour drive for me. Well worth it though, because there is nothing over this way like it. Just classic car shows or cruises. I went to one of the cruises and at first I was singled out as rice, but then a SRT-4 showed up, but all he wanted to do was race. Loser.
Would like to make another trip out there before fall and put the car away.

well since the MSP is never going to be the fastest i'll upgrade engine parts as I need them, with the exception of getting a good deal on something.

Yeah that's why I always just keep driving past any place that I see cars parked for a make shift show. People spent so much time and money restoring classics and I would pull in with a new car I haven't spent much time on. I have much respect for classics and I show that by staying my Mazda ass out. Me and Ivan drove 2 hours from Columbus up to Akron this past Sunday. Was plenty of time behind the wheel but worth it. I will say this, Mazda has a better class of owner.

^Where do you place your husband and his his EVO if Mazda owners have better class^ :) His car is sick though.
