The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Ohhh, I couldn't really make out the story you guys were laughing "so hard" when telling it.

Which neighbor kids, the thug-wannabes to the right or the VW clan on the left over the fence?

you know what sucks...

first time i get a chance to blast route 30 (the route of the cruise) since the new mods and i cant cause i got 5 tires, and 4 wheels in the car along with a bunch of my stuff for the next week

damn :(

yup, im going to be setting up the yet another year with the dyno day in pittsburgh

this will be year 4

I would loveeeee to go to the dyno day? Is there a set date yet?

I probably won't have much done, but I would like to see what it's putting down to the wheels after a few minor mods.

Definitely looking forward to seeing other cars dyno'd

Several years ago I picked up one of those G-Tech power analyzers and it showed between 128 and 142. I'm not sure how accurate those are, not to mention I now have over 124k miles now...

Marlon, you'll definitely enjoy the upgrades. I would drive my buddy Jay's MSP everytime we did something different to it. The last time I got to drive it was after the SteedSpeed exhaust mani, and Turbolife FMIC install. 10psi (or maybe 12, but I think 10) on the factory turbo with a 3" exhaust. It moved pretty well. He took me for a ride in it after he did the GT28RS swap, and holy hell.

Who is doing the SS AFC tuning? I can ask Jay if he has any maps from his car that worked well.

Big 3 Racing in Brunswick, these guys have a great shop and they did all of Fez's work on his Speed 6. I am going to hold the boost @ 10 psi. they have great prices as well, can't wait to see how it does perform. With the clutch and flywheel upgrades she is doing great, but I need a tune badly.

I will see if I can get some swag from Mazda for this event. Once we have a date and list of who's showing up, I wil go to them for some really nice Mazda swag!

Between 128-142?! HAHAHA! No way, brotha. I think I have more power mods than you and I put down 115whp. Though I did have a slight vacuum leak.

I don't understand how those things can measure your horsepowa from plugging it into the cigerette lighter? Do they have the G-force meter thing too? I wonder if that would be accurate at all?

ps- I'm not busting your balls or anything, Chris. I was laughing at the G-Force meter being way off, not how slow our cars are. But we can still get 'em in the corners, buddy!

I was gonna guess somewhere around 110-115. but who knows, I guess as long as I have triple digits I'll be happy with it. The stupid thing is starting to show its age.

im hoping over 150 with the new mods... (judging by how it feels) i dont think thats too far from being possible

yeah, There is a build in G-force sensor. You plug in the weight of the car and how many cylinders (for the build in tach). I used it mostly for flying around corners. We'll have to try it out on a few cars one day. No prob buddy. We kill them around the twisties.

It sure would be funny to see where the Miata stands with 148k on the clock.. I think it had 93 at the wheels brand new..

I'm waiting on teh store to redo my sponsorship so I can get my discount for the header, might put it on in a couple of weeks, should be close to Levi then
