the 5 isn't going to give you the power that you want, but it has some pretty cool features, blind spot monitoring system (std), adaptive front lighting (touring & GT models), backup camera (std), smart city brake support system (t & gt), bluetooth (t & gt) & random other things. The layout is simple & not complex unlike the escape. The wife felt comfortable driving the 5 & felt 'cluttered' just sitting in the other cuv's in the class.

I'd look up reviews for the new Journeys to make sure they've ironed out all the bugs. I had a friend whose wouldn't start intermittently, leaving her stranded. My parents journey is newer and never had that problem (was related to the starter wiring I think). Ours has issues with the brakes and wheels balancing.

On my way home last night was like national yoga pants for joggers day. I almost crashed twice.
