I placed my hand there and now there is a hand print on my monitor... :(

Tease all you want until you need those intake or exhaust manifold bolts removed then ya'll come crying to me. ;)

there was a plane and a conveyor belt, people going home, ban hamers and jets and interwebz tuff guys. Now you're up to date.

Thank you....... I think.

So lets get back to talking Mazdas. My brother's 3 has an problem where the teaction control light will intermittently flash while driving. It still drives normally and the traction control still works. He's been to the dealer and they can't figure it out. Any ideas? I thought it was a sensor but he said they all checked out.

Tell him not to gun it at every stop light. I thought it blinks when it's being active. Is it while he is cruising at certain speed?

It just lights up while sitting at a stop light, cruising at highway speeds, etc. It's very sporatic and will stay on from anywhere to a few seconds to a few minutes.

Maybe a sensor going bad? But I thought the traction control uses the wheel speed sensors? In which case the ebrake, DCS (if it has it), and ABS lights would all come on also. Hmmm.

That's what I was thinking too, but the dealer said everything was functioning properly. And none of the other lights come on.

that was my first initial thought as well, Nick, have him set cruise control when the light flickers on.... if it wont hold cruise i would wager the speed sensor is going

i remember when mine popped out of the mounting spot on the strut and rubbed the wheel to the point of causing a similar issue, i lost cruise control and my traction control light came on THANKFULLY mine was as simple as cutting and splicing some wire
