The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

We'll see about that, AJ. When I send you a text asking where you are and I get the usual "I'm too hungover..." response. lulz

I might be able to take off the 30th if i put some 12 hour days in on thuraday and saturday. If that happens, can i ride up there with one of you guys? I cant run my car yet, need to take care of failing rmm first and also need a helmet, but id love to watch and get and idea of what to expect once i have everything together.

I don't think I will make menchies tonight, it have to mow the lawn, trim, and spray for bugs. If I get that all done right after work and convince the wife she wants Menchies, I'll show up, but I have my doubts that it will happen.

Sho, you can ride with me if you like. I've got Kevin's (Fabio) old helmet you can borrow too for a ride along.

No Menchies for me tonight. I'm dog sitting my friends dog. See, I'm not a dog hater! haha

got my stitches out today, stung a little bit but it;s less itchy now. Got the process started on getting the tittle finally switched to my name for the Monte Carlo, two different title branches and no one knew what to do. I went to a regular license bmv office and they knew exactly what to do, just will take longer to have the actual title in hand.

And after trying to give it away to my cousin and them deciding not to meet up with me to take it, now they want to buy it...with making payments. I think I'll be more happy to when the Monte Carlo goes away then the MSP.

I have an extra helmet as well if there is any need for it the 30th. You just gotta tell me in advance because the Miata is lacking cargo space so I don't bring any extra stuff.

I got my slapped together injen cold air intake on a couple days ago and the 929 master cylinder went on last night without incident.
Pedal feels stiffer and my car goes, "mwrauhaaaaaaa". Good deal.
Here's a couple pictures that i think are a bit funny... the new master cylinder is a bit longer than the old one, so we had a bit of a clearance issue with the new intake and i didn't have a long enough vaccume hose for the pcv breather line or whatever it is... so this stuff happened

Banjo bolt bumping into intake- for the lolz.

Breather line made up from two cut up lines and put together at a funny angle- again, for the lolz.

I just checked out NASA Mid-Atlantic schedule and October 10 & 11, they'll be running @ VIR. I know that Evan #2 and I discussed running there again. Let me know if anyone else is interested in running and I will start a thread. If you think Mid-O is fun, VIR is 1.25 miles longer and the climbing essess, oak tree, rollercoaster and the back straight are just part of the fun. Hyperdrive is available for $50, too!

VIR is a good time for sure. I'm thinking about going the first weekend in November with PCA.

Cool, I may do that one as well. Will, let me know if you decide to go, we can head out together. I was planning on having Lauri work with Tom Long in a Spec Miata in one of their Long Road Racing cars......
