The Official Laser Blue Protege Photo Thread

Went to get my free tire rotation and had a bad tire. Cord was showing.

Well there wasn't a Discount tire in Arizona with a NITTO 555 in stock. So I had to order a new tire from NITTO north America. Won't be in until sometime next week.

So I wasn't going to run around on a spare tire so I put my stock wheels back on.

Ugh I used to like them but after having the light weight rims that are painted black with blue mica, the stock ones are boring.

So here are some pictures with my stock wheels and the last one is with my 5zigen rims.

Stock 2002 rims are kind of ehh. But I like the stock 2003 rims. If only they had a better offset.

it only our brakes weren't pushed so far out, giving us trunk space and all that.. then we could all run deep dish wheels :'(

(mswerd) I hate that sucked-in look but love the rims. Exactly why I'm having trouble deciding to replace them. They're pretty light too considering they are factory.

spacers :)

I had 25mm front 15mm rear spacers and it looked great that way. I wish I could find the pictures I have from then though.

With no suspension problems or alignment issues in the long run??? That's a pretty big spacer to not have any issues but maybe I'm just being conservative.

Nothing special

2003 Protege ES
-sportshift transmission
-35,000 miles
-factory silver 5 spoke wheels
-Toyo TPT tires (factory- probably)
-sunroof

Mods:
-MS Springs
-MS Struts
-RB rear sway bar
-MS front strut bar with custom hacked cruise control brackets
-tint (not sure how dark it is but it's dark)
-Mobil 1 5w-30 oil
-Red Line transmission fluid
-Red Line water wetter in the coolant
-removed door mouldings
-brake calipers painted red
-ebay short ram intake with K&N filter

Future:
-exhaust
-tires: either get a set of summer tires to go on these wheels (have factory chrome 5 spoke wheels to be used as winter wheels) or get a set of larger wheels (MP3 or MS)

Mazda Familia Render

Here's a render of a Mazda Familia that I found on the net. It was just a model so I added the textures. It's far from done, but I thought I would post it regardless. I'm gonna try to finish it this weekend. Enjoy.

Glad to see you got her all fixed up after that run-in with the railing. Looks great!

Not usually one for neons but it seems to look pretty damn good under the hood. Good job.

Thank you. The underhood LEDs are hidden behind the headlights. The reflective insulation really does a good job of lighting up the engine bay at shows.

I sold the tails in FS Section ;)

Theese wheels cover are only for winter ryres ;) In next summer i will put 7,5 17" on it and lowered it ;)

You know, if my car looked like that stock, I probably would have bought a Toyota Matrix instead. It doesn't look bad, but it lacks the flare of the alloy wheels and body kit which makes the US Protege5 stand out on the road.

in next year, i will take a big update. I will mount the sportive bumper (with round fogs, the one you have), 17inch rims, lowering the car and a rear lip ;)
