the MSP is a big Theft Magnet

yeah dude im sorry, that ******* sucks. they only stole my kenwood luckily they didnt grab my boost gauge and turbo timer.

i try now to hide as much as i can, ive taken the boost gauge down, i will eventually relocated it somewhere better someday and the turbo timer is no longer in plain view. the kenood is relocated and the way it is installed you need to remove the dash to get it out SAFELY (im sure if the thief was a MAJOR prick he could just **** it up with a screwdriver to hell)

the only thing i have to worry about now is my LCD  if someone steals that s*** and im going on a ramapage

Hmm, I'm thinking along the lines of the Unibomber...

Load plastique into the columns on the interior, and wire it to the security alarm. If wires are cut, BOOM!

You'll loose the car, but that's one or two or three thieves who will never steal again!

One small problem - don't forget about it when it's time to change the battery LOL

Sorry it's 1am and I'm tired and I'm pissed that people target s*** like this.

I am leaving a note on my dash:

DEAR THIEF. YOU MAY STEAL WHAT YOU WANT, PLEASE DON'T BREAK ANYTHING YOU DON'T TAKE.

REMEMBER: STUFF GETS AROUND, I MAY NOT FIND YOU, SURE...

BUT I BET SOMEONE I KNOW CAN.

Fuckers.

I'm always feeling paranoid about my car ever since I got it in August. The other day, I was parked in front of my girlfriend's house. When I was walking out of her house, I saw a car pulled up right next to mine with three guys walking around my car looking inside. One of them was holding a slim jim! They saw me and took off. I didn't even have any personal valuables in the car. Since then, I got one of those AutoLock Pros that locks the clutch up, but I don't think that will be all that effective. Does anyone know if our car has a high theft rate like the Corollas and Civics do?

Looks like it's time for you to invest in a videocamera and tripod that you can set up in your GF's window or something... you never know when they'll try again!

That's why I've got that s*** that Bruce Willis sprayed on his Minivan in the movie "The Jackal". Oh Yeah Die Thieves. Just kidding.

I don't necessarily think the MSP is so much a targest as hooked up cars are in general. We tend to keep our cars clean and they stand out even to the untrained eye with tint, springs, or detail paint (i.e. calipers). It rather frustrating because you get the feeling that you can't own anything nice w/o people messing with it. I hope you are able to replace everything over time and when the next opportunity for theves to jack you arrives you will be more prepared :-)

Now I get to go buy my second set of valve stem caps because retards keep steeling them.

EDIT: I also think it's time to rig up a chemical alarm system that sprays the ebola virus on any would be thefts. I would also like it set rediculously sensitve so that it would turn nearby birds, squirrels, and cats inside out.

I park it in my girlfriends garage now. When I come over, she moves her stock 02 Civic EX (ugghh) out of the garage and I drive my car in. I think that's reasonable considering that my car is a bit more valuable than hers.

car cover with a cable lock, the club, & the ultra sensitive alarm :p

Oh, & always try to park next to a nicer car that's easier to break into. If you make it a hassle to get in yours, but they have an easy alternative right next to it, you're probably better off. I park next to this brand new black 350Z all the time.
