You guys seen the Mazda 6 coming out next year? It looks pretty sweet as a replacement for the 626, but, I read as a result of the Ford takeover of Mazda corp. that part of the influence is a gradual switch to Ford engines.
According to reviews, the 2.5V6 mazda engine has been scrapped in lieu of the Ford 3.0 V6... the reviews I read didn't say whether the new 2.3L was a Ford motor or not, but we may be seeing the last of the Mazda designed engines- thank goodness we got one!
