Well the radiator finaly blew on the way to work today. No one aroung here wanted to work on it for me, they said they do not touch custom work. I will probably drive the beater untill the car gets fixed.

I hate this ******* state, if it was Florida it would have been fixed a long time ago. Thanks Spool for the " AWSOME" weld job that ******* caused this bulls*** to happen. No wonder your asses are out of buisness.

**edit** This statement made by me:

Is solely my opinion, and was expressed by anger. It does not reflect my club, or anyone else. Spool products are good ones.

I will not remove what I said due to the validity of this thread, and the usefull information that it has in it. It is in no way a general opinion twards Spool Innovative Turbo Systems.

du you have welds on the radiator????????why?

no welds on the radiator, it was the ghetto dumptube that Terry welded to the exhaust that melted the radiator when the engine reved and shifted.

Oh I see, I had mine dumped to the atmosphere, and melted the flush valve. it sucks.

Last month it was worst, the whole turbo assembly got loose. The turbo was hanging from 2 bolts and the downpipe from 1. The leak melted my radiator fan assembly and now my air conditioner is not working.

(scratch) spool turbos melt proteges?

ghost, nows the time to purchase the awr radiator!hehe

I wish I would have gone hiboost or Begi.Im tired of all these problems.

Dude, sorry to hear about your mishap. Check out the Aluminum radiator that AWR makes. It is awesome:

FWIW, Mazda makes some of the crappiest radiators. They are aluminum core, with plastic caps on the ends. I've had to replace a few of them in my time. They always seemed to leak where the plastic is clamped to the aluminum. The AWR is a solid aluminum piece.

omg. im sry for ya bro. that has to suck. hope it gets fixed soon. are u still going to tha ga meet?

Im not worried about the GA meet, I know ill be there for sure. Its the FL meet that I have to prey to make now.

damn im sorry to hear that mike. i know that pisses you off cause you guys were partners.

This leans me to not get a turbo once again. These problems are starting to become too numerous.

Guys, dont let these problems that are happening to me keep you from getting into FI. This is a problem from a person, not the kit. The kit works awsome, and I love it. Its just little things like this should not happen on a correctly installed, good quality kit.

the one thing i'm starting to appreciate is that this is all custom work and if you go into this expecting "factory" type drivability, you're gonna be disapointed. i haven't heard of anyone not having some sort of problems with custom setups! gosh, even factory vehicles can be dogs and crap out on you! this won't deter me but i'll lower my expectations a bit.
good luck ghost!!!

that bites... i'm sorry ghost. hope all goes well for you. i thought terry did good work? everyone was raving about it... guess not.
