Well I was experiencing the famous rear clunking noise every other mp3 had heard. Paid no mind to it for a long time but then one day got tired of it and went to the dealer. Lets just say i went to the dealer on 11-12-2002 and still dont have my car. They told me I shouldnt be driving it. They said they have to order a new spring, strut, all the bolts and bushings. They said the strut was blown or something like that. So all the people with the noise tell them to check your strut, its all under warranty I would do now then later. Im driving a Lancer rental, its so lame cant take a curve for nothing.

if ou are having the loud squeeks in when you go over bumps it has nothing to do with the struts its all the bushings, i thought it was the struts too but it wasnt. i got mine fix about a month ago and everything is ok now, no noises at all, no clunk and no squeeks.

the squeeks only happen when it was cold outside though. but its all good now, they replaced my front and rear sets of bushings. the rear bushing were on back order for a bit but it was only like a couple days.

considering all that I have read here....and with all the guys that have had their CLUNK fixed simply with new bushings...or by putting a spacer around the old one....ONE of two situations exist....either you have a different problem...OR your dealer is just scamming Mazda for the money they get for warrantee repairs.....

No scamming, I went to dealer today to check on my car and they had all the new parts right in front of my face, One thing they ordered the left side inside of the right side, so still no car. They checked the car out when I brought it in and actually drove it in a grass field by there lot, cause the it would naturally have more bumps. The strut was blown. I have no squeeking sound I have a thumping clunking sound like it the spare tire was jumping up or down. Well its going to be a week tomorrow for a job that should of taken one day tops, I am going to contact Mazda North America to complain for the stupid idiots they have working here in Orlando.

Well its great, mazda fixed my strut spring dilema, but now they realize the sway bar bushings need to be changed, and mazdausa is out of stock till thursday so i wot get my car until the earliest friday. I am really starting to hate mazda

which sway bar bushings are u changing to?

or are they jsut giving you a new set of the same thing?
