The Effects of 215/45/17's on an MP3

Here's a thing to remember here, not all 215/45/17 are the same size. What brand do you have? Some tires in the same size have different widths. For a good example check out some of the tire specs on tirerack.com. If you chose a few brands in the same size and check the specs you can see it.

i have cooper avenger zhp's

I've seen advertisements for those, but I don't know anyone who owns a set. According to the specs I got off of the Cooper website for you tires and the specs that I got off of Tirerack for the Potenza RE040 that are on the Mazdaspeed from the factory, the is pretty much no difference. So, your speaker box might be the culprit.

nope its the brand of tire Coopers...i have Cooper's also lowered 2" and they do same thing... the sidewall is a bit high for 45's not as normal 45's...but i started to get same thing after buying y cooper's, but when i bought car with fuzions same size 215/45/17 (MSP is what i have) there was no rubbing....it only started after buying cooper's.... So just stay away from coopers and youll be golden

try not turning your wheels to the full stopping point and then they wont rub...
