The Car Buying Trap

It's come up before where somebody on this forum took home a new car and then the dealer called a few days later and said the financing fell through so bring it back. Here's an article about the entire tactic that dealers use that causes this. Really good read on CNN Money site.

Yeah, they did that when I got my car. The second they told me there was a problem, I told them that I decided I didn't like the rate they had given me and that since things weren't final anyway, I was just going to bring it back that weekend. I got a call back about 2 hours later with a lower rate. I still got *****, but at least it was a little less.

good read...I wish something like that would happen to me. I need an excuse to yell in a dealership!
