The 12 second project (Sneak Peek)

smp- we will have to hook up, the plan as it is now is to get the evo shorly before I move back to AZ, or maybe right after I move back based on price differences between AZ and WA. How are they are evo prices down there? sticker price or nothin?

Wshade-, dont know how much time you played with it before mods but how did the car feel thrown into corners w/ stock suspension?

i can tell you mine feels a little sloshy. im hoping the springs will stiffen it up a bit.

nice man...im going to be in the same boat soon i think despite not wanting to mod. first thing is some gold rota subzeros and a drop with the pro springs, and a kartboy shifter/busings/knob (hate stock shifter).

what do you suggest for turbo back exhaust setup? i see that subydude seems to have a complete system for like 600 shipped...

The stock shifter is crap. I have the Kartboy w/ bushings and just love it in comparison. I am going with the Cobb TBE since I am following their upgrade path. Although, there are better ones out there. Helix would be my next choice.

About 5K miles. In comparison...... it felt like a Lincoln Continental. On a serious note, it was ok. But like Matt said too soft and the stance was too high.

how was were your susp. parts? Can you break it down for me by part? Thanks.

It appears you are taking the track of personalizing the upgrade from WRX to better-than-STi. I have read in a few places that a stock WRX can be gussied up to beat an STi. If that's the route you're taking, my hat's off to you. That's exactly what I would do.

Btw, are you going with a Link-Meter BF series? I only see the link-meter controller in your pic.

It certainly can, and it has been done a bajesus of times now.

that's what I figured. Plus, you get your own version of better, not what the subaru version of better is.

True, I liked the subaru version though. It was the only one that gave me a warrenty and I didn't have to lift a finger :D

Yes. The gauges were on backorder when the photo was taken.

what springs did you get? btw you have a lot of whitespace in your sig, try deleting a few lines

My friend has a WRX with a VF34 turbo, header and 3" exhaust, SAFC and AVCR and he runs 12.9's. That was with some 19" wheels too. Stock injectors, stock intercooler, just the fuel controller, exhaust and turbo. I believe he was running 15-16psi, but could be worng. I know he has problems running 19, so he keeps it backed down. Nice looking stuff, makes me wnat a factory turbo car too!

i think ill prolly mod mine with at least some full exhaust. kartboy shifter/bushings/knob will prolly be ordered tommorrow. then lower/rims, then performance. no appearance s*** besides the rims..

i apologize for the questions. It's just that I'll probably be buying a WRX next summer and am already doing research into suspension upgrades. Thank you for your help. (2thumbs)

Perrin Tuner Sport, which are made by Eibach with a slightly lower drop. Fixed the sig. Thanks.

Rogue Pro5, the IPD kit comes with front and rear bars. It also includes the beefier rear endlinks. You do not need to replace the fronts, they just looked a little thin to me.

Warranty is a good point. I have long been beyond the warranty so I hardly even think about it anymore.

For the link-meter BFs, you will find in the warranty as you encounter this issue: The oil pressure gauge will continually beep with the key turned and you haven't started the engine. I believe I have come up with a fix to the issue, and I will post it in my install thread (click the link in my sig). I verified the problem with Defi.

Matthew: who has the white space?
