while I agree that further studies needs to be done to weigh the benefits of this vaccine, and therefore this vaccine shouldn't be mandated, consider that there's lots of other things out there that *should* be mandatory but they got knocked down by the "freedom" zealots
IF this vaccine *had* been proven safe (after extensive studies/monitoring), would it change your mind about it being mandatory? it definately would for me... I would be pro mandate
so while we're still in the hypothetical situation that this s*** has been proven safe, if you're against mandating it, you're an idiot and an asshole... this s*** is to the benefit of public health and safety and you just want to put everyone and your kids at risk just in the name of "freedom"? people don't have the ability to detect the disease and go "OMG! I'll stay away!", people get it on when they want to and you can't stop that either... and if they get sick from whatever s*** that could've been preventable, then that person is proper ****** and can potentially **** up more people
so in the name of "freedom", the US has been reknown for:
-super easy driver license certification which resulted in basically the highest number of road fatalities per million miles out of all industralized countries
-illegal immigrants allowed to get driver licenses
-parents allowed to "home school" children who in the end known to be "dumber than s***" (technically, unedumacated, which is not the same as intellectual ability), and have a GED which is regarded as a joke everywhere
-drive unnecessary land yachts without any real penalties that poses significant road safety concerns AND is causing/caused the government to figure out ways to "save energy" and "reduce foreign oil dependancy" such as scheming the very *smart* extended daylight saving time
-withdrew from the kyoto protocol and thus is still a significant contributor to greenhouse gases in the industralized world
freedom is the greatest thing! (usa)
