Test Drove MS6 Today

Well I finally go to test drive the MS6 today. I love the way it looks both inside and out. For the performance part it wasn't too shabby. 1st gear had a lot of power but 2nd gear didn't have that much at all. 3rd and 4th had some pep to them. Overall I like the car but I have my doubts on buying it. The dealer was kinda being stiff on the sticker price so I will see what happens.

I had to pay msrp. One of the other dealers was selling for 2G's ABOVE sticker and refused to budge. It just depends where you are at and what kind of demand your area has. The dealers are only allowed so many, so they can demand a high price.

Yeah I understand the whole demand thing, they did the same thing with the car I have now the SRT. I loved the car don't get I thought before I drove the car I was defiently going to buy it now my decision is up in the air it all depends on how low will the dealer go.

Come to MN, there is a dealer here (walser mazda) who is selling them as fast as they get them and are offerring 2000 of msrp.

Leave them your info, they'll be calling you in a few days with your deal.

I test drove one this past Sat, fully loaded GT model. IT was very nice!! Im just wondering if waiting will be best. Remember the RX8 when it first came out and was around 30kish? Im hoping it will drop a couple of grand. But Mazda NA and the local dealership doesnt help my waiting by sending me Mazdaspeed stuff all the time.

my strategy on this car is that I'm probably going to wait it out a year, see how the mechanical issues arise and are solved, and possibly wait another year or two until used ones pop up and devalue.

IIRC mazdaspeed miatas are still around (eek2) 6 has more uses than the miata to most so inventory may deplete quicker on MS6 than the MSM.

If you wait a few months, you can be sure that the price will come down a ton.
Also, at least in Canada where Mazda is popular, the dealerships are usually the most difficult to deal with. I actually much prefer dealing with NA dealerships as their customer service has been 10x better in my experience.

Cheers,
LIP
