2005 Winning Blue RX-8
The saleman took me for a ride in a RX-8 today we go one block away and the sales guy put his foot down. OMG this car is powerful and definitely something I would like to own. One second later we had a 90's Corolla pull from a side road right in front of us. The lady crossed two lanes of moving traffic right in front of us. There was no where to go there was a red Civic on one side and a retaining wal on the left. He slammed on the brakes and smash right into the left corner of her bumper. All I could think is this is my worst dealership experience ever. She gets out and tells us we were going a hundred miles per hour and it was our fault. :o (rant) (argh) (flame2) We call the cops and he gets there. To make a long story short she argued with the cop and still got a ticket. I finish the test drive get in my car and bolt. WHAT A NIGHTMARE:D

The Brakes the RX-8 work very well though. One small detail you don't get a spare tire with this car just a repair kit. Crazy

The damage to the car was estimated at 2000$ curb rash on the left front wheel and damage to the right front corner the bumper and the headlight.

Wow, thats hardcore. I checked them out at my dealership today, very impressive. And just a sidenote, the one I looked at had a spare.

You still going to get one?=)

damn thats crazy...if anyone here in houston gets one, they better take me for a spin...i will pay for your first gas tank if you let me drive...:D

I don't know I have to decide if I want that kind of payment. They had twenty of them on the lot, they are not in short supply here. Maybe it was just the one with the 18's that had no spare. The one I look at just had a repair kit. They had yellow, red, black, green-blue, titanium, and one silver. We wrecked the silver one. They had already sold all of the one's with the leather packages, but the cloth seats were nice to and in Vegas it is nice to have cloth seats leather is to hot.

I think I am going to wait for the Mazda 3.

i never really understood what was so great about leather

i hate:
the smell
noisey(sounds like farts)
when it gets hot
when it gets cold
too slippery
easily damaged and hard to repair
friggen expensive
& the fact that my boss has an acura with leather(he's a dusche bag)

nothing it was not his fault the ladies insurance is Geico and they called the dealer 30 minutes after we got back. They agreed to come look at the car and there was already a adjuster there at Mazda dealer that does appraisals. thats how I know about the 2000$ price tag. My head was spinning at how fast all this happened.

I wonder what happens to the silver rx-8...they can't just fix it up and sell it as brand new can they? i'd hate to be the guy who buys that "new" rx-8.

as for leather, i personally like it in my p5; it's easier to clean, and it gives it a nice 'upscale' feel to it. Plus, I don't like how the black cloth seats always appear purplish/reddish in pictures (or when you have sunglasses on), and not black. what's up with that, anyway?

yeah, when they want their money, when its a customer problem....they got all the time in the world to not help

F'n A your right on that. I scratched up the front bumper, fender, side molding, scratched 2 rims and broke the axel and the DAMN insurance company santioned repair shop will end up haveing the car for 6 weeks. It is unbelievable how slow they are going!

oh but it looks sooooo much better than cloth, also, your boss isnt a dusche bag, hes a douche bag.

anyways, im sure they had that s*** on the rx-8 fixed up within 1 or 2 days...kinda sucks, seems like dealerships are always near such busy areas, its a catch 22, more people see the cars, but when you go to drive them theres tons of traffic.
