i have a friday off and i want to go. ill run the SA and see what she can do. so, if you want to hangout then come.

it usually starts around 6PM and ends around 10PM.

Sounds fun I mite drive out.
Who knows I may even see what the GTX has once or twice.
Any Idea what Tech includes because I'm missing a lug stud and a cat.

tech isnt bad at all.

heres the main points to look at:

1) are there body panels falling off?
2) do you have a battery tie down?
3) all lug nuts? or appear to have them?
4) a helmet if youre into the 13s and cage if youre into the 10s?

wingman-- you HAVE to come. a buddy of mine, the owner of www.re-speed.com, is coming and he just recently almost bought a 323 GTX from canada.

well that suxs missing a stud in the front passenger side that I just to lazy to replace so no racing for me. I'll probably still head out there if not just to say hey and have a good time.

I'll be looking for the other gtx. Don't get to see many and I'm always looking to see what other's have done to there's.

he didnt buy the car. the owners of it are the owners of RPM Motorsports. theyre great guys. hung out with them at the DGRR meet in april.

you can still easily pass tech with a broken wheel stud. just wrap some electircal tape around a lug nut and stick it in the whole, and after you pass tech take it out. ive seen it done.

Boom-shaka-laka. If ya'll run yours, I may run mine. I'm always contemplating it and I've never ran a 1/4 mile before. I might drag my buddy and his GTI VR6Turbo out. He'll run in the low 11's. He is getting a cage put in.

my buddy has a 700rwhp camero, but he wont run cause he said his slicks rubbed on his wheel wells too much and he needs new ones. that thing is a BEAST, but it handles like crap.

im definitely running, nothing special though. i just want to see what shell do. i drove the car my engine came out of and ran a 15.2. now it has a different carb, MUCH better ignition, LSD, good tires, and the timing isnt 180* off . im just hoping for atleast mid 15s. my carb needs to be tuned bad.

From what I read MSP's do at least 14's or so. Perhaps we might run beside each other as worthy adversaries... or just for kicks.

my buddies 03.5 with MBC and intake couldnt break into the 14s. he got SOO close, but never broke into them. i mean close, he was getting like 15.02 or something like that.

we can line up for fun. if youve never been down the track, its an experience for sure.

Looks like I mite be able to get a stud put in my car tomorrow. So I mite be able to run once or twice. I'm hoping for High 13's but won't be disappointed with a good 14.

Nice. So finally the G-Wood'rs get a place to meet. This could technically be our "North Point" meet. Like, every first Friday of the month or something. Maybe?

Well Got to say that was fun! Didn't do as good as I expected but had fun anyhow. Next time I think I'll just stick to the benches. It proved beyond a doubt that the gtx is NOT A 1/4 mile car. That and transmissions are hard to come by.

I ran a 15.9
In all fairness I did over boost in 3rd and had it cut on me. But I don't think it would have made a big difference.

It was fun though, mos def. Well then next time, YOU can film me. I really wanna run the MSP I am just afraid of breaking s***. Not that I don't think it can be fixed but right now, all funds are being shifted to a wedding. When I get the new starter for the Colt, the MSP will fly the 1/4.

It was good meeting you guys too. Donnie, tell your pal Crit he's a pretty cool dude. It sucks that the tree man hates him. There was no oil on the track that dude was just a stipdick (kinda like dipstick). What was that other guys' name and how was he connected to the group tonight? I'll post a pics here in a sec.

Any luck with getting the vid on the computer? Even tho I didn't run that good I'd still love to see it.

One more thing I think I know why the GTX didn't do as good. I think it's running lean on the top end. Thus no top end power. Ether that or I've got some sensor problems, TPS, AFM, O2... Time to upgrade the ECU.

i ran two 15.6. i also had the EXACT same reaction time both times, .174. i knew i was leaning out on top end the first run. so i turned up my fuel PSI. the second run was goood except the brunout guy made me stop burning out and sit in teh water. so my tires we wet when i got to the line. i spun off the line and it killed my 0-60. everything was faster on the second slip except the 0-6. oh well, i doubt itd of made more than .1 or so of a second difference. the car is slow, i know.

it was fun. i had some redneck say, " what is this rx7 night?" then he proceeded to tell me he wanted my wheels.
