Good god alive those are sexy as hell. Love it, love it, love it. Plus the replacement piece is damn sexy too. Im getting one of those and I want to know what you used to pait in with? Also what mod did you do to it to get it to stick out? Is that a turbo timer and a boost controller?

Matt

Those wheels are so beautiful! :D Nice choice.

Are those the ones that were from that "special" on the 2 sets of rims a couple weeks ago? I got the mercury silver TE37s. I can't wait to get them on the car when I get my car back from the upgrades.

Schweet!!! Man, you have just made my decision between LE-37T and the Work Emotion CR Kai that much harder. Argh!

I painted it with just a satin anti-rust spray paint. Make sure you clean it good before painting it. To make it stick out I had to take a dremel and grind about 1/16th of an inch of the top and bottom of the EBC/TT slot because it was made to have them not stick out through the hole, brian told me it was supposed to sit behind it?..? it just didnt look finished like that. I got 1/8th inch wooden dowels from walmart and measured them and 45 cut them, then wood clued them into a rectangle, filled any imperfection with wood filler, and sanded the hell out of it untill it looked like plastic when painted. You caint even see the joints at the corners and I also rounded all the edges with sandpaper. Yes it took a while, but it is worth it.

$2250 shipped, no tires, I have the Parada spec 2s, they dont handle anything like the stock potenzas but they hook 2 times better, I used to break traction around 4K RPM in 1st at 8psi, now at 10, they still dont even start to break loose. Def a good tire for the weekend racer...
Damn those look nice! I don't know about you, but I would be nervous having wheels that expensive on my ride with just a single locking lugnut. Have you considered getting 3 or 4 different ones and using those on the rims? I don't know what the theft rate is in your area, but knowing the cost of those rims, I would wanna protect them as best as possible. Just a thought....

Ben

Unfortunately, if a thief wants your wheels, they're gonna get your wheels. With Craftsman's "nut out" sockets locking lug nuts don't stand much of a chance.

Best thing to do is make sure your insurance company has a copy of the reciept of purchase of your wheels and if need be have actually inspected your car with the wheels on. That way you can get full replacement value for the wheels.

For all use poor people, rota grids in 17inch is coming out end of aug. Steel grey with polished lip should look just alike, i'm still debating if i should go with bronze/polished lip or steelgrey/polished lip! Rotas are high quality and only couple lbs more then the volks but only 600 dollars for set of 4. Many autocrossers sware by them.

FINALLY...they are coming out with 17s(I hope in 5x114.3 AND a decent offset)

when they first came out I got a 16" set in gunmetal w/ polished lip for my old saturn. Back then they were only 15" and 16" and only in 4x100 and 5x100. I loved em

rota gunmetal is too dark. They also have a hyper black out which looks like the 03.5 wheels finish, but only on a few rims right now.

tru dat...their version of gunmetal is almost the same as black mica...

havent seent eh hpyerblack finish yet, though...
