TCS does not turn off when u hold it for 10~ sec.

:
Mazda CX-7 FWD
I tried it in on wet roads with my FWD. When I hold the TCS for 10~ sec. and the light goes off for good until i turn the car off/on. The TCS is set to on so you can't turn it off at all until u turn your car on again. It's the opposite of what ppl thought. Now, when i just pressed and released it, and used full acceleration from stop sign/light on the wet road, i get massive wheel spin until 20mph when there is an aggressive power cut off.

So, don't hold the TCS button for 10 sec. thinking it'll turn off the traction control, cuz it doesn't - it makes it so u can't turn it off again until u shut off the car. Too bad, but thats what it is.

All i had to do was try it on a wet road, and felt stupid all this time cuz i thought i had a faster car by holding the TCS button lol. Who ever wants wheel spin in their FWD, just click the TCS button, and it'll allow spinning till 20mph.

If you had the wheel turned even sightly DSC would have kicked in, I don't know because I've tried this on a wet road and TCS never kicked in.

Why don' u go drive someone's FWD model. Or drive mine. Don't give ppl wrong ideas, it's not my fault u can't get wheel spin. Whoever wants wheel spin has to have a FWD, get the new flash, and just click the TCS button, wet or dry road. On a wet road it spins all the way to 20 mph, whether the wheel is straight or turned.

Keep in mind, you can disengage the TCS only if your driving less than 18 MPH. It automatically cuts back on above that speed.

The purpose of turning off the TCS isn't to spin your wheels. God knows why you wanna to that. Rather, turning off TCS is only useful when you're stuck and you want manual control , i.e. stuck in snow.

Vince.

Exactly.

Turning off TCS in this vehicle doesn't truly disable it, all it does is give you more control over *how much* your wheels are spinning at low speed.

You can't truly disable the TCS in this car like you can in some vehicles.

Besides, why do you want to spin your tires? When you're spinning your tires that means you're not putting the rubber to the road as efficiently as possible, which costs you time. You want minimal wheel spin to have the best launch.

Yeah but with this car...when the TCS is on it helps the traction issue by limiting boost significantly....lose/lose situation in my opinion.
