Talk me into, or out of and MS6

IE sound deadening, good stereos, even unpainted mirrors, door handles, and lesser amounts of paint (EVO only, but same principles apply).

LOL when I read "less paint and no painted mirrors" I think CHEAP! Honestly how much could a coat of paint on some door handles and mirrors weigh? A few grams? Thats their way of fooling you into paying more money for a product they put less effort and quality into.

Anyways... back to the point.

Coming from a CTS-V I would for starters not recommend the MS3. That would be a huge step down in car size for starters. Coming from a large four door car to a MS3 you will feel cramped and out of place.

Would I recommened a MS6, well yeah I certainly love it. The clutch problem is easily fixed. So no worries about that. There are some decent aftermarket stuff available, not a huge load of stuff. But you will find what you need if you choose to do so.

In all honesty, it sounds like you have some very nice cars.... as mentioned have you tried looking at a new S4? Or if you want something larger a supercharged (kompressor) Mercedes four door?

As much as I like my car I couldnt see rolling it next to a CTS-V and a Lotus.

If you liked the CTS-V enough to buy it, you clearly like big horsepower RWD cars. While I LOVE the biting traction of the MS6, some guys prefer the ability to hang the tail out, and wild wheelspin isn't a hangup for you. Personally, when I punch the go-pedal, I want it to GO with no squealing drama, which is why this car is so perfect for me. My dream car is the RS4. Big power with AWD makes me grin uncontrollably.

While I can't say enough good things about the MS6, is seems the better car for you might be a 335i. It'll outrun the last gen M3 and I've yet to read a bad word about the car from the automotive press.

I bought the MS6 because I cannot afford an Audi RS4. For half the price it's still a top notch car, way better out of the box than the 2.0T a4 I test drove 1 day before I ordered the MS6. I've never driven a CTS much less a CTS-V but I think the HP deficit would be a step down for you. The MS6 can be modded to out perform high dollar sport sedans but in my years of tuning experience, what you get from a factory with billions of development dollars and an army of engineers is usually much better than trying to take a great car and make it better on a limited buget and in your garage. The rule of thumb is that you have to pay to play. My friend has spent the last 5 years modding his Subaru Impreza 2.5RS into turbo a beast. My MS6 I've had for mere months walks him with nothing more than a downpipe. The conclusion you ask? I started off by saying I originally wanted a RS4. Imagine what the guy with the RS4 is lusting after.

agreed..it's a helluva a buy for what it offers. I paid $19,000 for a Talon TSi AWD in 1991, and only $22,600 for my MS6 a few months ago. I couldn't be happier...but I'm not coming from anything like a CTS-V. But that's because of $$$, and the fact that a car that can melt the tread off two tires doesn't appeal to me as much as one that can claw at the pavement with all 4.

MazdaSpeed6

I have had my 2007 MazdaSpeed 6 for one week now .. Only modification is a dealer installed CAI .. I love it, its fun to drive and has a nice sound ... Previous 07 cars where 07 Corolla, 07 Camry, 07 Jetta ... (I used to work for an automall ..) I had to pick a vehicle to keep for several years as opposed to several months for the first time in many years and decided on the MS6 ... This is definately the best out of the set of 07s I drove so far .. The camry was not bad for performance mind you ... :P

I'd say give it a try! :P

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE my Speed 6. If I had to complain about something, it would be the clutch, i'm pretty much used to it but it's still a bit of an annoyance. Go again and test drive an 07, I hear it's much different.

The MS6 is IMO, the best car for the money, hands down. However, that being said, if I had the kind of money you apparently do, I would get an IS350, no question.

I love my Speed 6, but I'll be the first to admit, I wasn't gonna even pay invoice for this car. It just left too much to be desired for the sticker price or even invoice. Once the incentives came into play, I thought " this is definitely the best car for the money". One of the reasons I love this car so much is because of the price that I paid. That always looms large in my mind when I drive it, and it makes me forget all the things it lacks in an enthusiast car that I would normally be weery about. Had I paid sticker, or even invoice, I'd definitely not be liking it as much. With this new clutch and the reflash, now I'm really happy with it.

All I need now is for it to be as reliable and durable like my STI was. If I get 100k+ out of this car with nothing but basic maintanence and great reliability, I'm gonna mark it down as my smartest purchase. Jury is still out on that, but I sure hope this car is durable and problem free for many years. :)

Currently driving an '04 CTSV magnacharged to around 550 hp and multiple other mods, have a *fun* car, Lotus Exige S,
Prior to the V I owned a pair of RX8's Finally - I tend to say it like it is, and hope I've done so above. I might offend from time to time - but flamesuits come bulk on ebay for next to nothing - so I have no worries. Otherwise, I contribute as much as many, and more than most.

Still waiting to see pics of these in your driveway! :)
