Well I contacted Paypal and they told me that since it has been 50 days since the transaction they could not help me. They will only investigate disputes up to 30 days... :wtf: I guess I am SOL with my $120 bucks.

If there are enough people on here that have not received their stuff, and have not got their $$$ back, then we maybe able to join together in a lawsuit to sue his ass. A $120 bucks isn't a lot of $$$, but there are like 10 or more of us, then it starts to get to be quite a bit of $$$ that is now in Corey's pocket.

I put up a poll for all those who have paid there money and received nothing, and are interested in creating a lawsuit to try to get some of that money back to the rightful owners.

UPDATE!!!
Just got it in the mail today. (8-28-03)

Hey, DaKidd!!! I ******* agree and i was thinking the same thing. I sent him $250 and still have my other half of the money order. I think $250 is enough to b**** about, thats $250 less i have now because of him.

Whether $120, $250 or whatever amount is or isn't a lot of money is irrelevant. From what I see, this guy commit larceny and should be arrested/sued. Those who think I lack compassion can kiss my ass. This guy's a dead beat who made one lousy post to try and calm people down (in between what seems to be a 3 month span). We all go through tough times. I'm sick of hearing people b**** and moan about it. If you don't have your health that's one thing but if you do... and you're still bitchin!! get over yourself already and get hustlin!!! Hard work ALWAYS keeps food on the table and a roof over your head. I don't know how many times I read "Corey is a stand up guy". or something to that effect. You either are or you aren't. Anyone who still thinks he is after all this BS is smokin crack.

To all those who have been victimized, I urge you to take matters into your own hands. I've been in a similar situation before. I didn't press charges because the person stayed in contact with me and constantly reassured me that things would "work out". Well, though it took longer than I had hoped, things did eventually work out. I'm glad I didn't ruin a business friendship by jumpin the gun. However, I would have had no choice if I wasn't kept in the loop on a regular basis. (we're talkin every week or so). It's just common courtesy.

Personally, I'm SHOCKED that a few of you told this guy to keep your money. Everyone is entitled to their own oppinon and can do whatever the F they want... but in my oppinon, you're letting him off easy. Reading those posts reminded me of when Sam Jackson's character gave the diner robber guy his $1500 in Pulp Fiction. I understand why he did it in the movie (I guess) but I can't understand why you guys did it here. So what if he's down on his luck?!! You're gonna excuse him and let him keep the money he essentially stole from you anyway???? Perhaps "letting him keep the money" was just a way to justfiy things a bit in your own minds in an effort to curtail negative emotions streaming through your heads basically perpetuating the notion that you got had. I don't know... that matter is irrelevant at this point.

The steps you all need to take, assuming you're willing to drop the hammer, are this:

1) Call the police and have him arrested for larceny. (you bought goods from him and never received them) He essentially stole your money.

2) Wait... they'll investigate and file a bunch of paperwork you'll use in step 3.

3)Since the matter is way too small for a civil law suit (Even with 10 or so of you) you'll need to take matters to small claims. That'll be a b****! But, in the end, with all the evidence the cops compiled, the case will be a layup. You'll not only be entitled to full reimbursement but also compensatory damages (judge's call)

Lastly, some of you may feel what I wrote was a bit harsh. Obviously you've never been robbed before. If you had, you'd want the dickless, spinless piece of s*** who robbed you to burn in hell. (a punishment far worse than being arrested and sued in small claims court) I urge all of you to put yourself in the victims shoes. If some of you "bleeding heart" types don't need to be put in their shoes because you were one of the victims as well, think again. Perhaps you're a bit better off than the rest. Perhaps a couple hundred dollars isn't that much to you. But maybe a couple thousand would be!! It's all relative! I guarantee you that you have a price. We ALL do. If someone robs me blind and takes $10... I'll get over it. $100? My week's ruined but I'll live. $1000???? They better invest in a suit of armor cuz I'm comin for their spleen!!! L8R

I knew something was up from the get go. I wanted to tell people that you can have the same work done at a muffler shop for practically nothing. But, I didn't want to get in the way of anyone who wanted to spend their hard earned money on it. I hope this somehow gets cleared up.

Take the ****** to court! Seriously what he did was wrong and he needs to pay for it before he does it to someone else!!!

Memphisracer I see your on tonight, how about a response for all these people that got jacked?

Not be a jerk but I know people are looking for a resolution.

i think i remember this guy...isnt he the guy that was moving (blah i know i can read through eight pages or whatever just refresh my memory) and then came on and apologized and then everyone felt kinda bad, then i guess he just used that to buy some more time?

Well

I thought it was a cool piece of equipment not that it would make the car faster I just liked it and was going to buy one but my kids needed braces. So boom there goes 4600.00$
Anyway I am very disappointed in this whole mess and I hope you can get it resolved with the least amount of hassle.
I seriously doubt anyone will get that much out of him after lawyer fees and what ever other assorted costs of litigation.
I would hope that he would at least make good on the parts but it would seem at this stage that is not going to happen.
Also isn't there a certain dollar amount limit before it goes out of small claims court? And perhaps this amount would vary from state to state?
I would image that an attorney would have to consider it worth his or her time before they would take the case e.g. Am I Mr. or Ms. Lawyer type gonna get some Benjamins?
So anyway good luck.
Cory if you read this make up for lost time/face and get some parts out at least.

Yup, and about 15 minutes after I posted this he mysteriously jumped off the forum. Screw that. He owns an MSP, this thread is in the MSP section and I bumped it the second I noticed him on. He ignored and jumped off. That's crap. I am not a victim of this BS but people all of us know on the forum are. My advice to all of you who got jacked; chip in for a decent lawyer and take care of business.

Nurse I said , "Scalpel! Damn it!"

Is the going rate on a black market spleen a grand?

:p :D :p

Perhaps you can show up in court and say, "Your Honor. All I want is his spleen, or perhaps a lung would do. No make that his toenails. I could make a nice necklace out of those."

AGR have you heard from this guy yet? I know that you are by no means involved in this scam but I'm just wondering if you heard anything new.

I replied in another thread, but I'll post here, too. I also got scammed for the $120. I tried PayPal, but it was over 30 days, blah blah blah. So the next step was contacting my credit card company that my PayPal is linked to. They are investigating, and have transferred my case to their fraud claims department! The outlook is good that I'll get my money back, and hopefully they have all the lawyers they need to get their money out of him.

I recommend that others do this, too, just to give him back a little of the grief that he's caused us.
