tail light swap? 05/06 tail lights fit a 03 model?

Hi all,

I have a 2003 model Tribute. The left hand tail light has broken, I was considering replacing the two lights to make sure they are a colour match and have been looking at putting in a pair of the 2005/2006 lights.

Can anybody tell me if there are any complications with attempting the swap?

It can be done,find pigtails of a mazda tribute 2005 - 2008 in a junkyard get all light bulb connections per light ,splice one by one so you wont get confused,lightbulbs would have to be purchased for a 2005 mazda tribute at any retail store,light can be bought after market for cheaper price than the dealer.
FYI Dealer sales the light with the harness for about 200 dollars each i think might be less ,after market lights should cost about 60 bucks.
