t connector for prosport mechanical boost gauge

sup everyone. quick question. got my prosport mechanical boost guage comin in sum time next week. wonderin if anyone has any suggestions on the best place to run a t connection for it?? also, what opening do u suggest to run it through the fire wall so i can get it inside the car??

I put the T connecter for mine right by the BPV and ran the wire through the firewall where the cable for the hood latch goes through. You can see it right above the clutch pedal inside the car and down behind the battery on the outside. You'll probly have to remove the battery and the plastic holder for the battery.

Do you mind taking a pic of your "T"? I was going to do my prosport premium yesterday, but started drinking...and...(drunk)

Make a small cut in the grommet that the hood release cable passes through from the inside. Then tape the vacuum line to a straightened coat hanger and push through the grommet from the inside. Very easy and the quickest way.

what would the difference be of T'ing off the wastegate hose?

I saw a writeup for installing a boost gauge on an STI and they were using the line off the wastegate. I don't see any reason that wouldn't work. Maybe someone else can chime in with some pros and cons.

I t-ed into the line off the top of the bov, but mine isnt ready boost its only ready vacuum. Is there any other places to tap into?

Thats the right place..maybe your gauge is bad.Did you take the car for a drive because you will not show boost just sitting there parked?I know that may be a stupid guestion but you never know.
