system hookup

i've looked through the forums, maybe i'm missing it, sorry if i am. i jsut got my protege not to long ago, i had bestbuy hook up my system in my old car. i went back to them to see how much it would cost to put in my new one and they are charging me like $80, i really odn tfeel like paying that much. so my question to you guys is, could someone draw me a picture or a skimatic (doesn't have to be nice, just use paint or whatever dont matter) to show me how to hook everythign up and what plugs into where? i have a 2 channel sony amp, two subs, a capacitor. i have all the wires in a bag, i just need to know where they all hook up to.

do a search in to car audio section, you should be able to find it

your best bet is to find a friend or member that is close to you and ask them to help you -- it would be easier to show you than to draw a picture

If the price that they gave you included power wiring for the whole set-up, then they're giving you a pretty good deal. Granted, I don't trust their installers for one second, but the price isn't terrible.

here's a breakdown of common pricing at retail places:

1-2 channel amp: 60$
Subs and Cap: 15-20$
8ga Wiring Kit: 30$
