I've been trying to find the symptoms of a bad turbo seal, but can't find it anywhere. Since it started to become colder out my car has been reeking of I believe fuel, but am not 100% sure. I am going to have Mazda check out my exhaust to make sure there isn't any oil in it. Other then that what are other symptoms?

Thanks

fuel and oil will have a different smell.

if your turbo seals are toast then your exhaust would be smoking quite a bit

I just had a new tubo put on under warranty due to this problem. What really exacerbated the problem was turning on the AC, then it would blow tons of smoke even when just idling. Otherwise it was not smoking a whole lot but still had blown turbo seals.

what if every once and awhile your car will smoke at idle? my car runs great but every once and awhile at a stop like my car will smoke really bad, then it wont happen for a few days.

I had that problem, after I installed my su test pipe, and since I've deleted my resonators I haven't had no white smoke. And yes, I would get white smoke after idleing a few min. Just like you said the car runs great, holds boost 16 psi with stock bpv

a bigger turbo fixes all these problems :)

Is your DP catted or catless? Are you running a catch can between your PCV valve and intake manifold? It's awefully hard not to get some smoke if you are running catless and don't have a catch can IMHO. How do you do it? I've had this issue with Garrett turbos on European cars (Saabs and Volvos), so it seems to go with the territory regardless of the size of the turbo if you are catless and not running a catch can. Maybe your experience has been different.
