Sydney people - Eastern Creek drives

I guess this is gonna be a replacement event for the Wednesday night street drags at Eastern creek, what with the new Drag facility just about to open across the road.

Anyhow, I got an email today from the good folks at the Creek saying next Wednesday 28th is first up (dunno about later events as yet) to run on the circuit in twilight. No speed limit

Small groups of cars on the track at any time, overtaking ONLY on the main straight

4pm sign-on
5pm Driver's briefing
5.30pm 1st on-track session
8pm concludes

$75 inc GST per driver

Must be over 18, full licence, car registered and roadworthy.
Approved crash helmet must be worn, non-synthetic long sleeve shirt, long pants and enclosed shoes.
Indemnity doc is to be signed.

Nah, the drags will be coned off....circuit only.

Actiually we will finish the boot this weekend at last, not sure i wanna pull it all aprt again.

Prob just go for a brisk run without killing tyres too much , won't be chasing times or pretending to be a hero.

james (and everyone) you should come up to qld raceway 1 saturday for saturday afternoon sprints. it's not the full circuit - it's about 2/3 circuit. cost is $40 for the first 7 laps then $25 for each 7 laps after the first. my friend in his S15 200sx does 63.8secs. lap record is 58secs i think. if i can get under 70 seconds for a lap i'd be happy. but the good thing about it is they put like cars with like cars so you're not getting constantly overtaken or you're doing the constant overtaking.
