Suspension/Warranty?

Suspension/Warranty?

Hey guys,

I want to add aftermarket suspension components to my p5
(either eibach or racing beat) but i have the extended warranty, and don't want to lose that. Can anyone tell me for certain if this voids my warranty or affects it in any way? thanks

(shivers and convulces)

For all that is Holy, If I have to say this one more time I will explode.

If you are worried about paying for repairs to your car DO NOT MOD IT!!!

holy crap....ok...I realize that you are new....please use the "search" button to look up topics such as this. They have been discussed to death.

Enjoy your new car

alright dude, just because i'm new on this forum doesn't mean my car is new. It's two years old. If you don't want to answer my threads, don't. If you want to talk sh** about "noobs" do it on someone else's post. All i wanted was a straight answer because mazda won't give me one, and i still don't have one. Your post was as useless as you say mine is. And by the way, if you've tried using the "search" button on this forum like i did, you'd realize that it sucks. You don't want to read my questions, i don't want to read your pompus answers. thanks man.

you're not starting off on a good foot. Wait until the others chime in and see if their replies are any more polite. We are tired to death of hearing about this.

the search button works almost flawlessly....if you type in "warranty denial" you will receive pages of threads discussing this...Almost 90% of them I'm in. I consider myself an expert on the subject and most do here as well.

This is being very polite actually. I used the word "please" and even told you to enjoy your new car. Still not happy?? Then eat me.

alright, look dude, let's just sort this out. I realize you've been here a hell of a lot longer than me, and have been more active. I overreacted and i apologize for that. However, i was simply trying to make the point that yeah i'm a newb on this forum, but i don't like being treated like an idiot because of that. And i'm sorry, but i really didn't find that answer all that polite. All i wanted was an answer to my question, a straight one, not a general one, not an allusion to how newbish i seem. Thing is, I have modded my car, and all my mods have been dealer approved, but i can't get a straight answer from anyone. I'm sorry, didn't mean to be an ass, but i got mad. It's definitely nothing personal. I don't want beef, and i really don't feel like eating you. I hope we can just snuff this one out, it's my fault and i admit it. If there's a certain answer out there, i'd still like to hear it.

There is no "deffinate" answer. If your dealership wants to deny you warranty work they can.....if they look around it to help you out then you win.

It boils down to this. The dealership will make or break your warranty claim. if they want to be nice about it then you might have a warranty. If they don't want to pay for it then you'll have to do it.

Dealerships suck, do not ever got to the dealership for anything. In hindsight I wouldn't have gotten the extended warranty

awesome..thank you man...from what i read in other posts you speak from experience, so i'll take your word for it. Thanks again, and sorry about the little argument again.

From one "noob" to another... if you don't want to void your warranty, stick with outside and exterior changes, but don't mod the suspension. Anything to do with the actual suspension or the running of the car overall can void your warranty. I know, I have one, too.

mods must prove a certain part failed to deny a warranty claim. If you mod your suspension, you can consider your suspension warranty revoked, but that doesn't affect your engine/ drivetrain/ electical system, etc, so your warranty on those parts is still "good" though you may have a nice time arguing with your dealer since they will find any reason to deny a waranty claim because they make more money that way.

yeah, kinda like when mhen my dealer told me that my uneven tire tread voided my powertrain warranty huh? They also said my non-mazda air filter caused my ignition module to fail and my "cat-back" exhaust caused my head gasket to blow and popped my motor....The dealer can say/do anything they want.

I wouldn't piss on a dealer if they were on fire.
