It is amazing that a car can take that much boost and not explode, what is the highest you guys have heard of a car taking?
i don't think that car is running that much boost, that's what the boost controller is called, it can go up to 60psi. http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_info.php?cPath=&products_id=304
if he's only making 542hp, i'd guess he's sub 30psi. especially with the added nitrous (note zex sticker). last i checked you need more than 542hp for 8's, so i'd guess he's running a decent amount of nitrous as well.
the most i've seen on a "street" car is right around 3 bar, or 42psi or so. but then if you count diesels, they win by a lot

I dont think it is running 60 psi...look at the turbo, a gt 72...way out of efficiency range at that level of boost...im thinking closer to 30-32 psi?
Well, whatever boost he is running, it is working. I do agree though that 60 psi seems a bit high. Either way that is one tight Subie. Nice build up and you can see that the owner took their time a built a solid car.
Just think, he can slap some street tires on and get a new bumper that actaully fits around the intercooler, hiding it abit, and most people would never know how Badd Ass that wagon is.
