People, easy with the flat shifting, I already had a 913 mille car rip the bolt out of the driver's side engine mount resulting in a broken axle and the motor dancing arround.
Must have been one of the ones where the engine mounts aren't tighten down. I don't think you can just rip a bolt out when it's full tighten & no slack. If you can then Mazda is going to have a huge problem on their hands.LeonardoCal said:People, easy with the flat shifting, I already had a 913 mille car rip the bolt out of the driver's side engine mount resulting in a broken axle and the motor dancing arround.
Did you get any new info on this?Speedy3 said:Bad news. Auterra Dyno-Scan stops Live Data (OBDII) recording while doing a Dyno run. (pissed) I exported the data and the logging stopped right when I clicked start on the acceleration Dyno test. Looks like a feedback email to Customer Support.
What version of the CarChip do you have? The Mazda has CAN bus which is only supported in the USB version of the CarChip.Ferdball said:Did you get any new info on this?
I have a CarChip E/X from Davisnet.com, and it doesn't record anything from the OBDII port. It records fine in my 03 and 05 Hondas. I have a tech support email into them to see if the Mazda port is incompatible.

From DavisNet web site:Ferdball said:Well, there you go. I have the Serial port version. Who gave Mazda the authority to change their port?
Maybe I should just buy the USB version. Getting this Serial-to-USB thing to work is like getting a baby to sleep.
Looks like Mazda made the switch in 2004.Rotus8 said:From DavisNet web site:
Some newer model year vehicles are supported by USB version models of CarChip, but not by the serial port versions. To see if your vehicle is supported by serial port models, review the list of OBD CAN Equipped Vehicles.
These lists are current to the best of our knowledge as of the time of publication. However, given the thousands of vehicle models produced since 1996, no list can be completely comprehensive. For more information on OBDII issues and anomalies in general, we recommend The Equipment and Tool Institutes website.

Yes, it works a treat on my Mercedes which is also CAN bus. Haven't gotten a chance to try it on the MS2 yet but others have.Speedy3 said:Did you get the Auterra Dyno-Scan?
