Strange idle after grounding throttle body

I recently ran a ground wife from my throttle body to my main chassy ground like shown in the forums. On the good side it seems to really help with low end response. Yet on a negative note, my car since has been idling VERY low(500ish). Is this normal? I used a 10 gauge wire with 10 awg connectors like posted here. How do you play with the idle on these I was used to drive by cable so I am assuming it's different. Thanks in advance
