He bent his rods to lower compression! (second) (cool)PaulMP3 said:what were your tricks to avoid detonation??
LOL, funny that it actually could have something to do with it.simdrew said:He bent his rods to lower compression! (second) (cool)
How many psi's where you running?BlkZoomZoom said:Well I finally got around to doing a complete tear down of my blown motor. To my suprise I found all the intact connecting rods to be bent, quite badly. What is really strange is the fact all the cylinder walls are in perfect condition, virtually no scoring whatsoever. The bearings are perfect, I mean I seriously beat the living crap out of this thing, hardly ever let it warm up before I beat the snot out of it and rod bearings are in perfect condition. If not for the connecting rod wrapped around the crankshaft, I wouldn't think twice about using it again. The journals have no marks or scoring at all. If it weren't for the holes in the sides I would use the block again also.
Pics. of destruction? Sure!!
