Stock P5 swaybar endlength length?

I'm really confused. I did some searching and found a couple of threads that state that the sway bar endlinks off a 2002 Ford Escape is a direct fit for the P5. I measured my old ones on myP5 and they are 7.5" The Fords are 10.5" ??? I also read the the P5's are supposed to be 10.5"? No way that will fit on my car and it isn't lowered.

Problem found. Previous owner had put on 99-00 struts. They use the shorter end link.
