you'll take it i used to own one well as of a couple of months ago and i feel that the msp is alot quicker. the eclipse was like driving a tank its like 1000 more lbs than the msp. but i'm definetly glad i got ride of my eclipse and got the msp.

Why does everyone think a MSP is soo much faster than a 3G eclipse??

it would be a driver's race if that dork didn't buy an automatic... (which he will point out, "but it has the selector thing that is cool")...and Mitsubishi does make EVO's...Mitsu's racing heritage with Rallying rivals pretty much every other makes (along with Suby's)...Don't get me wrong I like Mazda too, but every company makes a couple of dumbass cars...and right now the fastest car Mazda makes is over a full second behind Mitsu's fastest in both 0-60 and 1/4...

Brand loyalty is touchy for some...but to me it is just like tires...There is no such thing as a s*** import manufacturer, but there is such a thing as a s*** import...Every Japanese company has some strengths and weakness'...mazda's strength is chassis/suspension design and rotary madness...Mitsu's is simply the EVO and maybe a few million dollars worth of homework on the upcoming direct injection systems...But becuase of the EVO alone I have respect for Mitsubishi, on every other car they make...including the EVO's econobox cousin (Lancer), I hate...
