Looking to buy a open filter for my ms3 its all stock just wanna buy a filter but i dont know what size filter to get...would anyone know the size?..im guessing 3'' but im not sure

I suggest you read the threads here on intake options. You can't just stick a "filter" on the stock engine. You have a very low flowing air box with a filter inside. Replacing that filter, even with a high flow aftermarket filter, won't do much of anything because the box itself is severely restrictive of the air flow it can take in.

You have to replace the maf sensor housing with an aftermarket piece with a connecting tube to either a conical filter, (that set up is called a short ram intake or SRI, or connect that housing by a coupler to another pipe that will lead down to the left fender well and attach to a conical or cylindrical filter there (that set up is called a cold air intake or CAI).

Please search and decide what you want to do. You can't just slap a "filter" on your engine. The air box has to be removed, the new filter has to connect to a MAF housing, and all of this has to be the exact diameter as the stock housing at the point the air column passes over the MAF sensor (and it ain't 3 inches) or you will not get correct mass air flow readings out of the sensor. That will mean that the sensor will be sending false information to your ECU and your engine will not run properly and might even be dangerous to the life of your engine.

Search and ye shall find.
