I was looking at my stock intake after talking to DPtune. They do not recommend any aftermarket intake due to them messing with maf readings and the short rams sitting right behind the radiator. I want a little more sound out of my engine and was looking for silencers built into the intake. The first part of the ram air tube coming from the grill has a plastic box hanging off of it. I assume this is just to help silence the engine. Any one cut it off and plug the hole yet? This was a popular mod for the Subaru Wrx when I had mine. An aftermarket company actually made a piece for the wrx to replace the stock unit that had the silencer on it, so you could keep the stock intake but remove the unnecessary silencer
