2003 MSP
Hey everyone,

Just thought I would see who is still racing thier MSP's out there.

As for me. After taking a 3 year break from Autox'ing i'm going to be hitting it hard again. The rest of this year and all of next season is going to be development time. hopefully the 2012 season i can pull a top 5 in STX if the end of the world doesn't come.

i was thinkin about getting into it but idk. im afraid to blow my engine cause of the low oil pressure

@little
the low oil pressure was caused by long races, don't worry about that with autoXin because your car won't be running hard for over an hour.

But there plenty of peoe still ripping it on here.

oh i thought people were having trouble touging cause of the low oil pressure and the tight turns. so it'll be fine in like 30 minute runs with cooldowns?

@sublyminal. well idk if its low right now but i sure am burning alot of it! lol i need to get an oil pressure gauge

got any vids??

Yeah it should be good, but it not the tight courners, it's the long ones because the oil sloches to one side which might make it run dry for a second, thts why you just go faster ;) lol but autoXin won't hurt much at all for the stock oil system. If your that worried about it get a pressue gauge.

unfortunately I don't have any vids. but yeah autox'ing shouldn't cause any issues with the car. if you need any help determining what class you need to be in just let me know what mods if any your car has. and if you have any set up questions i'll be glad to help out. We need more MSP's out there racing. Thats what all mazda's are born to do.

i race all the time. though im not racing against anybody(sometimes i do, lol), i always try to improve my driving by pushing myself when i can.

did someone say touge..........

here is the local group that I hang out with on occasion. The website is open to public, but I think the owner requires you to email him or have someone vouch for you before they will let you on. These guys live, eat, and s*** touge. We all live in the SE and run dragon's tale and blood mountain, etc etc

its like 5 hours

ouch!

well the closest SCCA chapter i can find is in fresno which by googlemaps is 2 hours away.

I really do recommend trying out autocross at least once. it's addictive and most of the people there will be more then willing to teach you to go fast. that is of course if your into precision driving. if your into straight line. i'm not sure where to send you to for that.

lol... i got the dragstrip part. figured that one out. :) i would suggest joining the forums for the fresno chapter of the SCCA they should be able to tell you all about the racing near you. Whether it be drifting, road coarse, solo, club etc...

just started this year w/ my MSP. Love it, but get my ass kick by evo's and STI's. Racing in STU class.

Still doing it it's been on/off 5 years of AutoX. Car still runs great and is my daily driver, too.

im thinking it may be time for me to get into it now as i have a forged motor and new trans...ive been wanting to for a long time, but my fp was old as dirt, drank more oil than an alcoholic and the diff bearing on my f25m-r was whining like a little kid. i should probably build up my suspension though for that right?
