i'm lookin to set mine up similar to your's laser.....the box is way too big....but when it warms up around here..i'll get out there and start building a more spacious design...rice your s*** is nice and laser your's is really sweet too. I hope my s*** will look as nice as ya'lls soon.

Yeah I had to pull the spare (ANOTHER reason I'm thinking about reworking this set-up) I mean it's great looks-wise but it's not practical at all especially beings I don't "show" my car. So for now I ride around with a trusty can of fix-a-flat. Any BIG blow-outs.....I'm S.O.L.

Yeah, I was going to mention the practicality of it, but it looks so damn good I didn't have the heart to say anything...if it sounds good, you should at least enter it into one competition to see what the judges say about it before you give it the axe.

I'm looking into illusion audio subwoofers right now. 2.9" mounting depth for a 10." With that I might be able to build a thin false floor that will be about the hieght of the lowered seats that can be lifted up to access the spare. with a fiberglass bottom, i might be able to pull it off by raising the floor 5". I need to run the numbers though.

at the risk of sounding like an idiot...I dont know if i have mazda roadside assistance?..do you have to pay extra for it or do you have it for the length of your warranty?

The problem with both with Mazda Roadside is when they show up all they are going to do is ok where is the jack and where is the spare, and attempt to do it for you. Little will they know there IS no spare! AAA might be different beings it's something you pay for though.
I went with the JL because it's the best sounding single sub short of a W7. And beings (ironicly enough) i didn't want to drown my cargo with tons of subs I went the single sub route....but in doing so, as you see, I lost my trunk. I dunno even if I go a small enlosure route I still have to find a place for the amps and the Alumapro Cap that has two HUGE relays that are too tall to mount under the front seats. So no matter what most of the gear HAS to be in the trunk.
You can't win- the more you hook your car up the less practical it becomes. That even goes with springs and body kits! I remember (with my previous car) constantly keeping a lookout and avoiding potholes like the plague. And speed bumps.....ugh they were a nightmare. But the car looked damn good! I can tell ya that!

I'm all about stock suspension...thats part of the reason I bought a P5, it didn't need tampering with. I also think the stock stereo is pretty decent. But it does need some more bass...

my first step is to install my 6.5" eclipse components. Anyone know the diameter of the front speaker hole?

Hey Lazer, sorry to hear you don't like it.

The only way I can see getting it to be more what you might want is to get the amps on the sides and reclaim the floor and make covers so nothing can be damaged when hualing.

Hmm yeah- I'll have to figure out something. I'll probably keep it in for this summer. Maybe I'll enjoy it more come warmer weather. lol

You mean over powering your subs.
You need 4 more of those.
