Steering is a little bit off

When I drive my car it always pulls left, slowly but surely. It's a very small angle, almost unnoticeable unless you're looking for it.

To keep the car straight, my steering wheel has to be turned 2 or 3 degrees to the right at all times.

Does anyone know what could be the problem here?

the last time the car was alined,the mechanic didnt lock the steering wheel perfectly in the center,so he lock it without centering it...

go back there and kick is ass!he s a dumb!

this is the first thing a mechanic is suppose to do before unlocking the direction,to get it straight...make sure he does it next time....

you can also check out the air pressure in all four tire to be the same,and of course,make sure its been alined properly...

I don't know what the problem is, but my car has had the same issue as long as I can remember. I'm changing my springs/struts tomorrow, so I'll have to get an alignment right after. If mine still pulls, then I guess it'll just have to be something I'll live with.

That could be your tires if it still does it after an alignment, tires may not have enough air, or balanced wrong...

It isn't unusal for a road to be slightly higher in the center so that water will run off the road, rather than pooling in the middle. That could be causing your slight pull to the right as your car will want to go downhill.

I thought that might be the case too, since I usually notice the problem on the freeway when I'm in the far left lane.

Drive on a road that slopes to the left and you will see whether or not it's a problem.

Ive had the same issue since I got my car. I have replaced the struts, got new tires and had it aligned 3 times by different shops since I got it and it still does the same thing.

I kind of gave up and accepted it.

My car, as well as my friends p5 have the same problem. I think that is p5 thing

My P5 is really really sensitive to the slope of the road, and also the steering isn't really tight. My g/f's 00 LX's steering wheel is even tighter than my P5 is also less sensitive to the road slope...Is that normal to all P5?
My mechanic told me to take it to Butler Tire to do alignment, he said they do more than just turn-in and turn-out...I'm going to try but don't know when...

ya.. I just got my mp5 8 days ago and I have notised the steering was like that to. it seamed to follow the road. mine pulls to the right most of the time....

ok, well i work at an alignment shop, its what ive been doing for a living for the past little while. the things that could make a car pull one way or the other:
either caster is off tires need to be rotated, you need new tires all together the road is angled something is bent or your steering wheel is off and you are trying to make it straight so it pulls. caster is the angle or degree your wheels are at when making a turn. im not a professional yet, but im learning. when the caster is off, one wheel will be slightly further back then the other when the tires are straight, you can measure this with your hands. if it way off then you probably have something bent. if you look and nothing seems to be bent then you can loosen some bolts that hold the subframe to the body and push it forward.
i checked mine the other day cause its pulling and the wheel bar is off. the right side is further back than the left. been really busy, and havent fixed it yet.

So if the car tends to go toward wherever the road is angled to, it's probably the caster right? Also it's something a good alignment shop should be able to take care of right? I am going to take my P5 to a alignment shop and just want to confirm that people there should be able to solve the problem.
