Steath Box For mp5

Thought I's finally share some pics of the steath box I made for my P5. It took me about 2days of work and $125 bucks in materials. All in all I think it turned out quite well and I can still see in my trunk at night. Forgive the rags in the back I just finished buffing the car. Anyhow here's the pics

As You can see it takes up very little space and sounds quite good for a cheapo 8" sub. I'm using a small crunch amp under the drivers seat to push it.

I did use a small peice of MDF for the bottom of the box, just like the guy who posted the how to did. And yes it is completely sealed. I had to drill a small hole in the rear panel so I could bolt it into place but I used some rubber foam peices around the nuts and bolts to seal it back up. I totally recommend doing one of these, it sounds so much better now.

Yours looks good! I finished mine a couple of weeks ago. Not to stealthy but it has the correct air space for my sub.

Damn That's huge!!! looks nice though. Too big for me but that's why I did mine much smaller, I justed wanted the bass to fill in a bit.

+1∞!!! i'd definitely be interested if it would also fit the sedan!

If I had the space I would make some more for people on here. I did mine when the wife was out of town for business. She would have killed me if she saw the mess I made while making the box. And even though I did the fiberglassing outside on the apartments deck, inside still smelled like resin. Also, I think price would be an issue, I don't know how to make one for a price people would want to pay and still make a profit.

if you don't mind my asking, what did it cost to make yours, factoring in the time and materials it took? what would you sell yours for if you decided to part out?

I love these stealth boxes, that side of the hatch is just begging to be filled in with a box that's flush with the side. You don't lose much cargo room, and you have some nice punchy bass without a giant ugly box taking up all the space in the back.

Would you consider making some as a vendor? I would definitely have interest in buying one as I'm getting tired of my setup taking up all of the trunk area.

It might be a little different for the sedan. You may have to do it from inside the car. As for the P5 guys we can take out the plastic piece and mold it from there.

it sure looks like they same dimensions up until you get to the cargo cover on the p5...(uhm)
