stearing wheel hubs

I just picked up a bride stearing wheel that looks amazing ,but now im looking for a hub that detaches from the wheel with a quick release , just checking to see if anyony knows where i can find one ,and if anyone has done it?

i have a Bride wheel as well. i have just an ebay quick release, they are all a 6 bolt pattern. i can't tell from your post if you know exactly how it works, but the quick mrelease and the actual adapter hub are 2 seperate pieces. the adapter hub bolts onto the steering shaft, and the quick release bolts onto the hub and wheel. i bought the quick release for like 35$ shipped, and a hub adapter for roughly 35$ shipped as well. now, i ran into a problem for the hub-i couldn't find one made for the protege. instead i used one for an S14 Silvia. it has the same spline count on the steering shaft. i had to hammer mine onto the shaft with a piece of wood braced against it but it did fit fine.

becareful taking the airbag out, disconnect the battery and wait about 10 mins just to be sure the capacitors are discharged. then unplug all the harnesses and unbolt the 'bag and stock wheel. it's not too hard just be sure to not damage anything, you'll want the stock wheel and bag for inspection.

any otherproblems or questions IM me-DeathByJDM

Is there a difference btw the 97 or the 99 miata hubs? or are they all the same?

I don't believe there is a difference. I've test fit a Miata hub on my Protege5 and it works fine, but I'm not sure what year Miata it was for. Everywhere I looked they didn't list a different hub for any specific Miata.

Uh... is there such thing as an authentic Bride Steering wheel?

i dunno if there is or not. i know mine isn't. it's ebay. it only has a horn button with the bride logo and that's it. it looks nice though and is comfortable.
