I need help wiring my fog lights. Ive never played around with the electrical stuff on the car and Im afraid I might destroy the car if I try it alone. Is there anyone who thinks they can help me out? Or does anyone know a place where they will do it for me? Thanks.

2006 Mazda3. I have an S model bumper. The fog lights have not been connected. I have a harness that I picked up and some extra wires just in case.

Biggest rule when it come to automotive electric "You break the ground wire thru the switch and send the positive directly to the device being powered"

I have a Honda civic foglight switch that should do. Ok, I will go and get an inline fuse and a relay later today.

Ok I went to radioshack today and brought a relay(40A 12VDC) and a inline fuse holder. Do I have everything I need now?

My friend says that I already have a harness in the car for the fogs. He said that all I need is the oem switch? I guess Ill just work with that if its true.

Is it the oem harness for fog lights? How many connectors on the harness and how many other loose wires are on the harness?

I assume the two connectors are for the fog light bulbs and the 4 individual wires are for the switch and a power source. So the harness can most likely be used.

Hey SIBalla23, just wanted to thank you for helping me out. I finally have foglights. :)

Your welcome. How did you wire it up? It would be good info to share for anyone else who wants to do it. By the way, I am a mechanic. So if you have any questions, need advise or any help just feel free to ask.
