starting issue

I've been noticing lately that when I start my car in the mornings it tries to die for about 30 seconds before it decides to run. My idle will be sporadic and it can't hold vacuum. Advice?
Last time I checked compression it was the same across all cylinders.

I think my car does something similar every once in a while, hasn't done it in months but it used to. I know others have mentioned it as well. I haven't done anything about it since it always clears up and doesn't return until the next cold start. It's almost like an EGR, throttle plate or IAC sticking open or closed for the first few seconds.
