i just wanna wish my team luck...they have there first game today again the dodgers...they can win if they play good but the pitchin is gonna be a huge factor cause the leading winner for them is out for the first series so GO CARDS!!!

yeah damn it GO CARDS! :D I'm going to have to drive back home for most of the games, I-70 here I come...

I've been a Cards fan since I was born, but have lost track since moving east...lol, I remember the '82 World Series and i was actually present at the '85 NLCS.

Go Cards!

ive always been a cards fan too..born in chicago moved there for a few years and then back to chicago...its tough living here all the cubs fans but it makes it fun

I'm from downstate IL, and you were either a) a Cubbies fan or b) a Cards fan...no switching, no waffling. And damn, it sure is a bitter rivalry among fans down there.

cards are up 2 games to none....winning both games 8-3...3rd game on sat at LA.. fingers crossed for a sweep!

(woowoo) Its so much fun to watch them. I'm coming home for the games in the next series...

Damn...I gotta represent for my Dodgers...STL isn't the team we would want to face in the first round, but it happened. Oh well. I'm just glad we beat the Giants for first place, and that come from behind victory was just awsome:)

GO CARDS!!!! Before I moved back home I saw Edmonds at the Chesterfield McCalisters Deli with his hot wife/gf? and his new black convertiable Ferrari 360.

NOW I am in a delima.....you see, I was born and grew up in St.Louis....I have been a Card fan a long time. I was going to see the cards play before most of you were even though of.....I was watching the cards in the OLD stadium.....BEFORE Bush Stadium...so you see....I am an OLD Card fan....

but the delima is that for the past 30 years I have been living near Houston....so now I am not sure who to be rooting for.....

I guess one way to look at it....no matter who wins this battle...ONE of MY teams will be in the Series!

(stash)

Now that is an old school Cards fan...hell, you probably saw Bob Gibson pitch, eh? If I saw him pitch, I was only about a year old :)

Were they still the Browns when you first saw them? And what/where was the park before Busch Stadium?

YES, I saw Gibson pitch...in fact I got go to go to one of the world series games and see him pitch, it was either 67 or 68, don't remember for sure....it was a great experience as a kid....others on the team were greats like Kurt Flood, Lou Brock, Tim McCarver......and even Joe Tore the Yanks current Manager.....

Well I was a kid....not sure where the park was in relation to the new one...but if I remember correctly it wasn't that far away..... and I hear now that St. Louis is ready to tear down Busch and build a new one.....wow...makes me feel old.

Here is a picture of the ORIGINAL Busch Stadium......

Wow, that pic almost looks like the minor league park here in Charleston. Very cool that you saw Gibson - he was one of my Dad's alltime favorites. I actually saw him on the field once (after retirement), possibly during the '82 World Series. My early favorites were Bruce Sutter, Daryl Porter and Joaquin Andujar.

I've lost touch w/the Cards after moving east, but I'm psyched about seeing them stick it to the Yankees in a week or so.

Cool pic...batting practice?! Very cool. When I was in HS, a friend of my one of my dad's staff was in charge of promotions for STL. He got us down on the field and in the dugout once too.
